Description: Oakland County is seeking a contract Graphic Designer, reporting to the Communications and Marketing Officer in the Human Resources Department. Creates a broad range of marketing and/or informational materials from basic concepts to support the assigned department’s programs and objectives. Utilizes various desktop publishing and graphics programs to create and produce finished artwork. Prepares photographic images to create digital files for use in printed and/or online publications. Prepares slideshow presentation to correspond with speeches or discussions. Creates new art illustrations using digital drawing skills. Maintains brand identity with close attention to font, colors, and design elements. Coordinates graphic artwork preparation with local printers and marketing vendors to ensure proper technical job quality processes and delivery deadlines. Utilizes current Countywide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.
Environment: Graphic design software including, but not limited to, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat. Position will be approximately 30 hours per week. Primarily onsite with remote work available 2 days per week after training and onboarding is complete.
